There are few things worse for your family’s comfort in the summertime than a broken air conditioning unit or cooling system. A lazy day that could have been spent in your house will become a headache if you cannot get enough cool air inside. When your air conditioner is on the fritz and needs repairs, the sooner you act, the better, as many problems will only get worse as time goes on.
Air Conditioning Repair Technicians Who Can Fix Any Problem
The best air conditioner under the sun will eventually run into issues, either due to regular wear and tear, or unexpected damage, perhaps caused by a natural disaster. When the AC unit of your home or business stops working optimally, or at all, act quickly and get our Denver cooling system technicians on the job in a hurry. We are responsive, friendly, and available for emergency services in case your air conditioner stops working the middle of a bad heatwave.
Some of the leading reasons why AC units stop working are:
- Air filter has not been changed in recent months
- Outside unit is dirty or obstructed
- Clogged or damaged drain line
- Internal component breaks or becomes loose
- Overheating due to inefficient refrigerant
- Compressor or thermostatic expansion valve damage
3 Things to Check If Your AC Is Not Cooling Your Home
- Check all of the registers in your house to make sure that they are set to open.
- Make sure your HVAC filter is clean.
- Then go check the condenser coils & make sure they are clean.
If any of the registers are closed or the filter is clogged, this could reduce airflow and result in the evaporator coil freezing up, which then can cause your home not to cool. If you think the condenser coils are clean, clean them again and then flip the circuit breakers to “off” position for the AC and furnace so that you can reset the power.
Then you can turn off the power on the HVAC unit, open up the electrical box and pull the disconnect block out and clean it out. If you’re not sure how to do this or you are still running into issues, it is best to call a professional AC repair expert.
